Stacey L. Pratt has comprehensive experience in employment litigation, including matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, trade secret issues, defamation, unfair competition, breach of contract, and employment and arbitration agreements. As an employment attorney she has represented employers, directors, and executives in employment matters in a variety of forums, including state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.
Besides employment litigation, Stacey also has substantial experience in complex business, consumer, and insurance litigation, as well as an expertise in insurance coverage. In addition, she has extensive appellate experience in the state and federal courts, having handled more than 100 civil appeals and writs to completion. She has also consulted frequently on post-trial motions and other strategic issues in preparation for appeal. Based on her extensive appellate experience, when representing clients in employment litigation matters, Stacey is able to best position each case for the possibility of appeal by fully preserving the record. She has also developed a keen ability to assess the likelihood of success of specific litigation strategies at both the trial and appellate levels.
Stacey’s prior professional affiliations include Ropers, Majeski, Kohn and Bentley, where she served as a partner in the appellate department. In 2000, she joined The Louderback Law Firm, which later merged with Payne and Fears LLP. She has also been a partner at the New York-based employment firm Kauff McClain and McGuire, and was of counsel with Littler Mendelson before joining Strazulo Fitzgerald LLP as a partner in 2008. She joined Ongaro Burtt & Louderback LLP in 2011.
